Inheritance of One Gene: (Monohybrid Cross)

1. Breeding experiment dealing with a single character is monohybrid cross.
2. He crossed Tall and dwarf plants and in f₁ (filial one) generation, he found all plants tall. Means, Only dominated character was shown by plant breeding in F₁ generation.
3. And when he self crossed the f₁ generation, the recessive character that was hidden in f₁ generation appeared in f₂ generation, without being changed.
4. And progeny found to be 3:1 (Tall : dwarf), in f₂ generation
