Central dogma of molecular biology:

Francis Crick Proposed the central dogma of molecular biology. It states that genetic information flows from DNA to mRNA (transcription) and then from mRNA to protein (translation) only in one direction (except bidirectionally in some viruses and the process is called reverse transcription).
