Auto immune diseases:

• Memory-based acquired immunity in higher vertebrates in which one cannot be able to differentiate foreign organisms from self-cells.
• Due to this, body starts attacking self-cells. This results in damage to the body and is called auto-immune disease.
• For example; Rheumatoid arthritis and Addison’s disease.
