Loss of Biodiversity:-

The colonization of tropical pacific Island by human is said to have extinction of 2000 species of nature Bird.

e.g.:- are

• Dodo – Mauritus
• Quagga – Africa
• Thylacine – Australia
• Stellers’s sea cow  –Russia

The  subspecies of tiger:-

Bali, Jawan, caspian –from India

Acc.to IUCN, 2004 document the extinction of 784 species (338 vertebrate, 359 inveberate  and 87’ plant)

More species extinct from island, then from mainland & ocean.

Imp:-Presently 12% of all Bird species, 23% of all mammal species, 32% of all amphibian, 31% of all gymno-spermic in world are facing thread of extinction.

About 27 species become extinct in last 20 years earth have faced the 5 episode of mass extinction and 6^th episode ofmass extinction is in progess. The current rate of extinction of species is 100 to 1000 times higher than earlier.

Many scientist estimate that earth may lost 50% of total species by end of 21 century.
