Accrording to Work Energy Theorem

Wnc + Wc = âK
If work done by all the conservative forces is zero i.e. Wnc = 0
Wc= âK
And Also Wc = -âU
So

-(Uf - Ui ) = Kf – Ki
Ki + Ui =Kf + Uf
Initial Mechanical Energy = Final Mechanical Energy
