Introduction
Introduction:-
Water taken up by roots has to reach all plant parts till the tip of every grooving stem. Also food produced in leaves by photosynthesis have to reach to all plants parts including roots. During transport, two things matter one the type of transport and other is the substance that is transported.
Translocation:- The process of transport through vascular system i.e. xylem and phloem of substances is called translocation.
- From rots to stem, transport is unidirectional through xylem.
- From stem to roots, transport is multidirectal.
Roots take mineral nutrients and transport it to leaves upwards into stem and growing region.
