5. Two daughter nuclei are produced from a single parental nucleus.

6. It occurs only in a series of one step.

2. This phase is called Reductional division because number of chromosomes becomes half from parent cells.

3. It produces variations.

4. Crossing-over between homologous always occurs.

5. Four daughter nuclei are produced from a single parental nucleus.

6. It occurs in a series of 2 steps.
