Cardiovascular disease

Cardiovascular disease:

CAD (Coronary artery diseases):  Also called arteriosclerosis. It affects the vessels that supply blood to heart. It is caused by the deposition of calcium, fats & cholesterol inside arteries, which makes them narrow.

Angina:  Also called angina pectoris. It is acute chest pain which appears when less oxygen reaches to heart muscles. It occurs in middle aged human more commonly.

Heart failure:  It is the condition of heart when it does not pump enough blood to body parts. Sometimes it occurs due to the blockage of lungs (mucus secretion more in alveoli of lungs blocks alveoli of lungs).

Cardiac arrest: It occurs when heart stops beating.

Heart attack: Formation of clot (thrombus) inside the artery, stops the supply of blood to the part of heart beyond clot. Muscles of this part start dying due to the lack of oxygen & glucose. It is heart attack. It causes pain in heart, breathlessness, nausea (feeling of vomit) etc.
